Tour Ebike Barbisa - Casale Monferrato
per visitare la capitale del Monferrato
The church it’s very interesting. The facade It’s the result of a restoration in the Eight hundred, before that the church was leaning by very old buildings. The restoration happened after an heated debate in the town that was divided between conservative and demolition among which there was the architect Antonelli of Turin. Inside the church you will find an extraordinary atrium call “narthex”, recently restored where have been placed works of contemporary sculptors.
Synagogue: in Salomon Olper Street 44,
For nothing recognizable from the outside, You can visit The Synagogue and the Jewish Museum. The appearance
of the Synagogue is the result of recent conservative restorations (Arch. Bourbon 1968) which allowed to save the restoration
of Giuseppe Archinti from 1863 to 1866.
The writer published a short essay in 1996, where it is proved that this was a restoration of the pre-existing baroque architecture
that the synagogue achieved in the eighteenth centuries.
